The role of the Microsoft Systems Engineer is to provide high quality, professional consulting and support services involving Microsoft server operating systems.
You will face interesting challenges, and are able to solve complex IT issues on both tactical as well as operational level. You are strongly self-motivated to keep your knowledge level up and beyond the required level. You are flexible, pro-active, customer focused, and are willing to support a customer outside regular office hours.
We offer you a very exciting opportunity to become member of an experienced, growing, and innovative team, supporting our major accounts in The Netherlands. Working temporarily (weeks) at our customer location in Holland is a realistic possibility.
You must have demonstrable experience in Microsoft Systems Engineering. You can communicate in English and you should thrive in a pressured environment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the successful deployment, implementation, and monitoring of customer projects.
- Systems engineering and support of Windows systems of several customers.
- All-round systems engineer, able to switch quickly between environment of several 3rd party customers.
- Advice on, implement, and support cloud based (virtual) environments using Citrix and Microsoft products
- Solve complex IT issues on both tactical as well as operational level
- Maintain and (pro-actively) improve efficiency as well as processes focusing on continuity of operational services.

Your Skills and Experience
Profile
- Academic level
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Server Based Computing/Virtualization projects (VMware en Hyper-V)
- XenApp 5 or 6
- Pre: MCITP, MSCE.
- Pre: familiar with process and services in the Telecommunications and Internet industry
- Familiar with process modeling techniques and methods.
- Initiative, and result-oriented team player.
- Strong analytical, communication and validation skills.
- Able to set appropriate priorities, monitor progress, and organize follow-up actions.
- Good in English
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and contribute to technical discussions
- Ability to provide and receive feedback constructively
- Desire to learn and committed to personal development
- Proven experience in working with minimal supervision
