Our client is one of the International Universities in Ho Chi Minh City and are looking for an Infrastructure Manager.

The position is responsible for managing the IT Infrastructure team at university in order to provide a high quality of technical services and ensuring efficient infrastructure management and that core services are supplied and maintained at the University campuses.

Reports to:  Senior Manager, Service Delivery

• Managing the Infrastructure and Operation team of University in Vietnam.

• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure Services Global University (Melbourne) for strategic guidance and IT architectural support.

• Evaluate third party provider’s performance as required to ensure IT service provision standards are maintained.

• Plan the standard operating environments for all computing devices especially those deployed for the purposes of teaching and learning.

• Plan and develop an infrastructure road map to ensure a high level of infrastructure using latest technologies.

• Lead, manage and develop the IT Services infrastructure team to ensure efficient and effective IT performance of the University.

• Define the yearly budget and ensure that the Infrastructure department operate under the budget allocated and approved.

• Develop and update the five years budget plan following the Infrastructure plan and road map.

• Implement University change initiatives regarding Information Technology strategies to achieve agreed outcomes including effective negotiation and consultation with staff.

• Maintain currency of practice and understanding of industry trends and developments to support effective University IT planning.

• Ensure the University IT services are able to respond to emerging client needs.

• Be the technical stakeholder of University wide IT projects to ensure that the University is able to respond to its clients’ emerging needs.

• Contribute to development of IT Strategy and Infrastructure plan for our client including contribution to global plans and projects.

• Any other duties as required.

Yêu cầu công việc

1. Bachelors qualification in IT and/or significant industry experience

2. Demonstrated experience in managing a mid-size IT Team and conducting self-evaluation to propose processes improvement.

3. Demonstrated extensive experience in IT service delivery in a wide range of systems including Communication Networks, and Windows, Unix and virtualization platforms.

4. Proven experience in the concurrent management of a range of corporate IT systems and associated software.

5. Demonstrated knowledge of current IT systems and methodologies, including environmental and operational management of data centres, internet, storage and security systems.

6. Proven ability to coordinate IT projects and activities, manage relationships with staff, students and suppliers.

7. Strong interpersonal, management and consultative skills.

8. Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement principles.

9. Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position, as per the Behavioural Capability Framework (Connectedness, Commitment to Excellence – Improve and Simplify; Imagination and Innovation; Impact; Inclusion; Agility).

English Proficiency

English is the language of teaching and communication at University Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS General with a score of at least 6.5 or BULATS 75 (or equivalent, as outlined in the Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding Guidelines).

For any role, English Language Proficiency may also be proven by showing successful completion of secondary education to a level qualifying to enter university study while being instructed through the medium of English, as per the University recognised qualification list.
