Position Objective:
• Building, supporting and maintaining mission-critical.
• Bringing infrastructure expertise to a high performing multidisciplinary team, building scalable, resilient customer facing solutions.
• Capable of bridging the gap between development, QA and operations, applying DevOps methodologies.
• Maintaining an operationally stable application on AWS / Azure environment
Roles and Responsibilities:
Be part of a team who are ensuring that we create and maintain an incredibly resilient and stable the company’s Platform in the Cloud. Configure automated builds, deployments and auto-scaling groups. Ensure we know when there is a problem and create processes to automatically recover.
• Business as usual tasks: Assist other DevOps Engineers by providing broad and deep analysis of technical customer issues such as intermittent connectivity and application problems. Help the developers with deployment and deployment process improvements, testing and providing technical advice to this team.
• Infrastructure reviews: Undertake reviews of technologies, architectures and processes with a view to proposing changes that could be undertaken to improve infrastructure quality. These reviews should canvas broad input and would include, but are not restricted to, reliability, security, resilience, deployment accuracy and system performance monitoring.
• Project planning, delivery and execution: For projects that flow from infrastructure reviews or platform projects that flow from the development team or other business or technical obligations, scope detailed technical requirements with input from other DevOps Engineers in the team. Plan and execute these projects in a timely and accurate way, with minimal disruption to customer-facing products and services.
