Our client is a Singapore-based seed-stage startup, providing a flexible and personalized environment for developing large-scale high-performance computing scientific software..

We have an exciting opportunity for a DevOps who would like to join a fast-paced, learning-friendly environment. You will be working from HCMC in an interdisciplinary team.

- Collaborate with engineering and product groups to ensure that newly rolled out infrastructure is: 

• Automated with Iaac principles.
• Adherent to industry best practices regarding all facets of DevOps.
• Delivered to spec as required for product teams in a timely manner.

- Research, design, plan, and implement the following:

• Emerging technologies that fit company use cases.
• CI/CD pipeline improvements.
• Improving systems monitoring and alarms.
• Enhancing existing gog ingestion and analysis.
• Deploying new automations to reduce operations time.

- Maintain and sunset existing infrastructure as new systems come online.

- Manage and maintain KPI’s and benchmarks related to system performance, deployment efficiency, and system stability/ uptime.

- Document all infrastructure and DevOps policy while serving as a driving component in enforcement of said policies,

- Participate in mentoring other engineers and contributing to the technical growth of the team.

- 5 to 7 years experience as a DevOps Engineer (or equivalent in Systems Administration)

- At least 3 years of experience in each of the following:

• Managing Linux - based systems via automation
• Maintaining production environments in AWS
• Programming in a production environment with Ruby, Python, or Bash

- Significant experience with the following DevOps principles:

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tool)
• Log Ingestion & metrics/ monitoring/ alarms (Sumologic or similar tool)
• APM and Systems tuning (NewRelic & Bugsnag or similar tool)
• Containerization (Docker)
• Systems Orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Database Management (MySQL)
• CI/CD Pipeline management (Jenkins or similar tool)

- A bachelor’s degree or comparable professional experience

- A willingness to provide basic IT support

- Ability to be productive independently while staying integrated with the larger product and engineering teams.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Detail oriented, organized and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
