The Lead Database Administrator (DBA) is a key technologist with significant technical expertise in designing, building, tuning, installing, configuring and troubleshooting Databases and Middleware technologies.
This position will provide support in architecture planning, installation, monitoring, configuration, administration, testing, evaluating, troubleshooting for all database and application technologies. Collaborate with Application and Infrastructure teams for adherence to best practices and process standardization.
Other key responsibilities for this position are to monitor and ensure high availability of environment and quickly respond and diagnose problems. Utilize and leverage new features of all underlying technologies.
Works with minimal supervision. Must be able to work independently or in teams on assigned tasks with a high degree of technical judgment.
As a Lead DBA, your responsibilities include the followings:
- Efficient Management of the Enterprise Database and Application Environment
- Develop database systems that offer high reliability, scalability and high performance.
- Perform the installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of databases in MS SQL Server environments.
- Monitor services, plan capacity and fine tuning of database performance.
- Manage data backup & restoration, database security and audit requirements.
- Creates and manages multiple databases, tablespaces and indexes
- Develop reports, views and stored procedures. etc.
- Develop a security scheme for the database environment, as well as assisting in creating disaster recovery processes
- Design and create SQL DTS packages, ETL processes.
- Research and update new technologies on database to serve manage company information and data.

Your Skills and Experience
- At least 4 years experience in DBA role.
- In-depth understanding of SQL Server, stored procedures, trigger and indexing.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively and work effectively under pressure and with a high degree of independence. Effective in meeting deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of business intelligence concepts and technologies.
- Ability to fully document technical specifications and related project or systems-level documentation
- Ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, and management to troubleshoot issues, develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in
- Critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions
- Must be versatile, flexible, and proactive when resolving technical issues
- Ability to handle diverse situations and rapidly changing priorities with deadlines
- Experience with Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler.
- Experience with backup, restore, recovery model, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication, AlwaysOn.
- Have knowledge or experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS.
- Have knowledge with Mongodb, PostgreSQL is an advantage.
- Have knowledge with database (Warehouse, Logistic) is an advantage.
