Since 1997, Viosoft has empowered companies to design, develop and deploy products ranging from flight control systems to networking, telecommunications and medical equipment. Viosoft is based in San Jose, California and has sales offices in North America, Europe and Asia.
As a subsidiary of Viosoft Corporation, Viosoft Vietnam works closely with Silicon Valley teams to develop high quality software for North American and Western market. We are looking for talented engineers to onboard and participate with us in:
o Modifying and porting OS (i.e. Linux, FreeRTOS, ThreadX) into different architectures (ARM, MIPS or RISC-V)
o Modifying and porting OS/IP Core to FPGA boards such as Altera or Xilinx
o Developing and maintaining Chip ISA Certification System
o Developing and maintaining Integration Development Environment (IDE) for applications development on embedded processors (i.e. MIPS)
o Developing and maintaining the Debugger (C++) for embedded processors
o Following and supporting processor architecture version upgrade or customization, under supervising of experts from Viosoft US and MIPS (Wave Computing)

Your Skills and Experience
Experience: both senior and high potential junior can apply
Required skills:
o Good in C/C++
o Linux experience; at least one of these domains: Linux porting, Linux device driver, embedded application development, Linux system administration
o Basic understanding about Networking such as TCP/UDP, Socket, Packet
o Ability to read and understand existing code of large system to make modification with consideration of the impact
o Independent and proactive in problem solving with “can do” mindset
o Nice to have experience of any following:
- GNU Debugger (GDB) implementation understanding
- Micro-processor or Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) knowledge
Note: it doesn’t matter if you are lacking some required skills, i.e. the ISA knowledge. We have experts from MIPS and Viosoft US/VN to train the engineers on these domains. The importance is you can prove the ability to learn new things quickly and apply them in ongoing projects.
