Established in Tokyo from 2005, from several hundred of images and 50 contributors, Pixta has grown to be the owner of the biggest E-commerce platform for selling & buying licensed image, video, illustrator… in Japan. Nowadays, Pixta has expanded and set up its branch in 6 countries, namely Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and Korea.
Our goals is to hire a strong and enthusiastic Senior Back-end Developer who desires to learn technologies deeply and to work in an open & flexible product development environment:
- Participate in design, development, implementation and maintenance of complex e-commerce system (pixtastock.com)
- Work with database of 40 million images from 290.000 photographers worldwide, 12 billion user behavior
- Develop back-end services in Ruby on Rails by writing simple & clean code
- Cooperate with Japan side to provide technical solutions and system architecture
- Program and optimize to ensure the best performance, quality and responsiveness of the applications
- Continuous improvement by researching new alternatives and technologies
- Support in training junior team member

Your Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience with web development
- Strong at one of the OOP language programming (Ruby, Python, Java, C++)
- Be familiar with Agile/Scrum development
- Possess basic English proficiency
- Demonstrate self-learning skills, team work skills
Nice to have
- Knowledge/experience with micro-service architecture, big data system.
- Hands on experience working with AWS
