Personify is hiring IT Support / IT Helpdesk (System Admin) to help manage our global voice- and video-over-IP service. The person in this position will be responsible for deployment, maintenance, performance optimization, and automation of our systems based on Linux, Windows and other open-source software.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for deployment, maintenance, performance optimization, and automation of our systems based on Linux, Windows and other open-source software.
- Verify and monitor performance and operation of our environment
- Thoroughly documenting procedures and system builds
- Setting up monitoring and disaster recovery mechanisms
- Assisting our support team with challenging system and network problems
- Ability to work during maintenance windows and on weekends as requiredResearch and invent patentable algorithms in our cutting-edge research projects.

► Senior level: $1,000 – $1,800 / month.

Your Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of systems administration experience working with a geographically dispersed network.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is a must.
- Excellent in troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in practical English.
- Good team player and quick learner.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive knowledge in Linux, primarily Ubuntu and Debian
- Considerable knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, VLAN configuration/administration
- Practical knowledge of network security, including network encryption, IDS/IPS, vulnerability assessment, iptables
- Familiarity with Database and HTTP Load Balancer
- Familiarity with virtualization, public cloud computing solutions (AWS, Rackspace, VMware)
- Familiarity with scripting languages, including shell (Bash), Perl, PHP, and Python
- The ideal candidate will also have the following:
► Knowledge of network protocols; ability to analyze and debug network traffic
► Experience with VoIP protocols, especially SIP and H.323
► Familiarity with open-source VoIP software, such as Asterisk and OpenSIPS or Kamailio
► Experience with monitoring systems based on Nagios
► Experience with Configuration Management System such as Puppet or Chef
► Experience with Wireshark tcpdump and traffic analysis
► CCNA certification is a plus.
