We are looking for experienced backend engineers to join our team of talented engineers that share a common interest in distributed backend systems, their scalability and continued development. You will build the backend systems that power our application, scale highly distributed systems, and continuously improve our engineering practices. Our mission in our ad tech team is to build a modern marketing platform applying latest technologies such as big-data, cloud computing, AI.
Your roles:
- Design, build, code and own our marketing platform product for speeding up marketing.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers and data engineer, scientists to evolve these services to provide new features as well as meet our ever-growing scale.

Your Skills and Experience
You will be a key participant in answering some (or just few) of the following questions:
- Technologies: Which database technologies will be best for user profiling (i.e. Cassandra, PostgreSQL)
- Cluster modelling: How to break down the requests that come from publishers & group them into clusters (i.e. Fe- male Clusters, High CTR Clusters, etc.).
- Campaign Matching: How to match users from specific clusters with the best campaigns.
- Optimization algorithms: Which ones to use considering the needs the system will have in terms of accuracy & speed (i.e. Heuristic, Linear, Non-Linear Programs).
- Forecasting system: Best techniques to avoid campaign mis-deliveries.
- Programming language: Which ones are better when looking at highly concurrent systems (i.e. Scala, Clojure, Go). How do they implement HashMap in java.util ?.
- User profiling: Optimal cookie synching methods.
- Systems Architecture: How to best turn a complex monolithic application into microservices to solve scalability and growth challenges.
- Tech tools: Why is Kafka so fast? How does Apache Spark optimize Logical plan and Physical plan? How does PostgreSQL stores data in physical disk?
If you can’t answer any question from the list, join us to know how to solve it. Requirements:
- Deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Caring about quality and you know what it means to ship high quality code.
- Experience in designing and building distributed, high-volume services in Go and/or Java
- Contribute to the long term vision and strategy in your domain of expertise
- Passionate mentor and teacher
- Taking operational responsibility for the services you build and maintain
Nice to have:
- Good understanding of the advertising business and the ability to bridge the gap between tech and product
- Experience working on ad tech products, (and/or) data platform product, (and/or) payments systems, (and/or) marketing products.
- Skilled communicator and a proven record of leading work across disciplines
- Experience leading large projects across several teams
- Data driven mindset.
