CodeLink is an innovative and design-focused development studio made up of an international mix of Designers and Developers. Our main stacks are Rails, NodeJS, VueJS and ReactJS. We have built products in different industries, including Finance, Education, Entertainment, HR, etc for clients ranging from start-ups such as CryptoKitties to big companies such as Air Asia and Electronic Arts.
We are building an engineer-first environment. We want all members to grow with the company through hands-on projects and industry best practices. Our clients have extremely high expectations and that sets a bar for our quality of work.
Our engineers work directly with international teams from Canada, US (Silicon Valley, Boston), Germany and other well-developed tech scenes. We have learned a lot from them, and vice versa.
We are willing to adopt new but proven technologies provided that they bring business values to our clients and learning opportunities for our engineers. We have our freedom to choose and recommend what solutions are best for a certain project.
Who we’re looking for:
- We are looking for a Devops Engineer to help manage complex deployments and harden different CI / CD workflows.
- This is the first full-time position so we expect the candidate to take initiatives and help improve the devops process across teams and projects.
- Our engineers will work directly with the clients in North America therefore we expect excellent communication skills.
How you’ll benefit:
- We work with a wide range of global clients and varying industries, from EdTech, to FinTech, to HealthTech, and more, with clients from North America, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia. This will give you the opportunity to work with different systems with highest demands on quality.
- We are a fully collaborative team, with all members of the product design and development teams in-house, giving you the ability to interact with all members as you help to improve the quality of the products you work on.
What you'll be doing:
- Understand system requirements to come up with a good deployment plan.
- Work closely with developers, QAs and PMs to ensure applications are configured and deployed properly.
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements on scalability, security, continuity etc and come up with the right solutions.
- Harden CI and CD workflows so the team can focus more on delivering their work.
- Working closely with project managers, designers, and developers to improve the output quality and complete Sprints in a timely manner.
- Listening to clients, understanding their problems and communicating with the team to resolve. We believe it is everyone’s responsibility to maintain an effective communication channel with the clients and keep them happy.
- Following agile methodologies and agile processes to ensure the team is able to move at a rapid pace without any road-blocks.

Your Skills and Experience
Desired Skill-set:
Must have:
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with at least these Amazon services: EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, SQS, S3, Lambda
- Had setup several CI and CD systems for both web and mobile applications
- Hands-on experience with deployment, scaling, monitoring and performance tuning
- Git, Github and Pull Request knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Good to have:
- Familiar with Microservices architecture
- Familiar with Terraform and Ansible
- Familiar with GCP: Google Container Engine, GCE, GAE etc.
- Familiar with Microsoft Azure
- Familiar with System Design and multi-component Architecture experience
- Familiar with Agile process and scrum methodologies
