Job Purpose:

  • Desktop Support Engineer handles and maintains the availability, performance, and maintenances of the company’s end user machines and its peripherals: Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Scanners, and all input and output devices attached to it.

Responsibilities:

  1. Receive assigned end user issues from IOC
  2. Resolve assigned issue by physically going to the end user’s workstations
  3. Do routine maintenances of desktops, laptops, UPS, printers, scanners, and all input/output devices attached to them
  4. Provide physical assistance in transferring workstations of end users from one place to another whenever requested
  5. Prepare and refresh OS of workstations for newly hired employees
  6. Install, Uninstall, Configure softwares and applications upon the request of end users
  7. Provide physical assistance to IOCs and higher Tier whenever requested

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Communicate effectively in English, both oral and written form.
  • Provides quality customer service 
  • Customer oriented mind-set with good ability to manage customer expectations.
  • Clear communication with other IT teams (both written and verbal).
  • Must be knowledgeable of Operating System and Networking fundamentals
  • Must be familiar with basic operations of input and output devices of workstations
  • Must be able to install, uninstall, configure end-user software/applications such as Microsoft Office applications, browsers, etc…

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Education must be related to IT, Computer Science/Engineer
  • Must have good school records without failing grade on IT Major Subjects
  • No prior employment record is required
