What you will be doing:
We are looking for hands-on Malware analyst to join our growing R&D and Product Engineering team. The candidate will work in a talented team to build OPSWAT's famous MetaDefender/Sandbox product as world's advanced next generation cyber security platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze modern malwares based on public records or own research (big plus). Dynamic analysis technique is preferred.
- Keep yourself up-to-date with the latest malware threats, focusing on common behaviors of malwares in the same type, same family.
- Document detailed malware threats and identify procedures to avoid them, classify malwares based on malware behaviors, malware commonalities, malware families.
- Replicate common-suspicious behavior of malwares based on the analysis results and how to capture these behaviors.
- Participate in research and development of malware protection tools

Your Skills and Experience
What We Need From You
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information technology, system engineering or a related field
- Good experience in malware analysis (at least 1 year working in the field).
- Deep understanding in dynamic (preferred) / static analysis of malware techniques.
- Understanding executable file structure in assembly.
- Proficient experience in reverse engineering tools: IDA, x64dbg, WinDbg, ollyDbg.
- Well knowledge in operating system APIs and internals: Windows and Linux
- Experience in some common malware techniques: Injection, Packing, Obfucating...
- Good understanding of network protocols. Proficient experience in Network analysis tools (Wireshark...)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be self-motivated and have a proven ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
It Would Be Nice If You Have
- Experience working with Virtualization environment (VMware, VirtualBox) and Sandbox (E.g: Cuckoo)
- Experience working with other tools: Process Hacker, Windows Sys Internals (Process explorer, Process monitor, PE Explorer and Yara Generation)
- Familiar with Agile / Scrum working environment
- Familiar with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, TeamCity
