  • Lead a single team of employees within the company and has staff responsibilities for members of the team.
  • Encourage open communication between team members and facilitate improvement work within the team and with individuals.
  • Ensure the team is skilled, trained and developed to enable them to deliver high quality output.
  • Identify and implement change within the team as required and communicate resource
  • Plan, delegate and prioritize the team’s day to day work and set clear deadlines.
  • Resolve issues and conflicts within the team.
  • Organize team building and team activities.
  • Coach and motivate team members to grown in their roles.
  • Listen to team members feedback.
  • Encourage creativity within the team.
  • Communicate business objectives, targets and company values to the team.
  • Provide input to the business. 
  • Work closely with stakeholders on the team’s areas of responsibility.

  • Ensure accurate documentation exists and is reviewed on a regular basis for team processes and procedures where required.
  • Manage or provide input to team budgeting
  • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments.
  • Ensure that the team members follow the company’s security policies and procedures.
  • Take responsibility for escalations and act as a point of escalation both in and out of hours as required.
  • Responsible for the team members salary and it’s review.
  • Approve time reports for the team. Including holiday and leave requests.
  • Manage performance reviews for individuals in the team.
  • Manage merits reviews for members of the team.
  • Interview candidates for open positions within the team.
  • Co-ordinate and lead onboardings of new employees to the team.
  • Co-ordinate and plan on duty shift schedule as required.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Strong knowledge on Microsoft Windows and Linux OS.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and technologies.
  • Strong knowledge on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong grasp on configuration management tools, network tools, servers and switches, load balancing, firewalls, etc.
  • Basic knowledge in Information security.
  • Experience working in a manageable role for a Software Company that develops, sells and supports cloud, virtual or similar customizable software product or systems.
  • Education Requirements: ITIL Foundations, MCSA: Cloud Platform 
  • Ability to take leadership.
  • Independent with good collaboration and communication skills.
  • Good business understanding.
  • Service minded.
  • Strong capability to organize, prioritize and structure work.
  • Proven capability to coach and develop team members.
  • Understanding of security concepts and its importance.
