Job Summary and Purpose
The Junior Tester will validate and verify that software programs, applications, products meet the requirements set by design and development guidelines and end users specifications; hence, making sure they are working as expected.
Work closely and report to the Software QA Engineer I – II.
Key duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out testing, evaluating, troubleshooting and reviewing according to instructions
- Responsible for bug validation and verification
- Work with internal developers to investigate, reproduce defects and help with root cause analysis
- Simulate an end user and seeks out problems they may encounter
- Create and conduct Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Reports
- Report on defects and problems that arise during testing
- Support any Quality Initiatives as required

Your Skills and Experience
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 1 year relevant working experience would be an advantage, preferably with automation testing
- Basic experience with bug tracking systems and familiarity with software development lifecycle
- Ability to effectively communicate information, both verbally and written, to end users
- Must be self-motivated and take initiative in performing tasks
- Thorough and diligent with tasks and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good level of English is preferred
