We are currently looking for muliple experienced Java Developer to influence the direction of Java Development within our organisation. In doing so you will meet the needs of our customers by taking a hands-on approach to current development and projects. To influence others you will need to be comfortable taking a leading role, and be able to articulate your ideas, while also be accepting of ideas from other members of the team.
As a Java Developer you will be an integral part of our established team in a fast-paced development environment. You will be able to influence direction and recommend best practice, as well as be commercially astute with a forward-thinking attitude to best service the demands of our rapidly growing clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and program agreed developments / modifications to system
- Liaise with Product Owners to ensure understanding of client’s requirements
- Testing of code and following efficient practices
- Ensuring standards and procedures are followed at all times

Your Skills and Experience
Must Have Skills
- Minimum 2 years of commercial Java experience, preferably with Java 8.
- Working knowledge around JavaEE including EJB, CDI
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written to influence and manage change effectively
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Experience in Agile environment and working knowledge of SDLC
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies: JSF (with PrimeFaces), CSS, HTML, JavaScript
- Knowledge of:JaxB, JaxWS, JPA, JMS, Hibernate. JaxRS/Resteasy, Rest Services, JSF ManagedBeans.
- Experience with build and continuous integration tools: Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube.
- Test Driven Development: JUnit, Mockito.
- Source Control Tools: GIT, Stash, Source Tree.
- Application Servers: JBoss primarily and Glassfish (preferred)
- Good PL/SQL development experience
