POSITION: Application Development Officer
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
LOCATION: Corporate, FINSOFTS
REPORTS TO: Project Manager
Summary:
A Systems Engineer / DevOps Engineer provides some technical support in system architecture, system design, system integration and technical management. Assists in providing technical input to the systems engineering process. May assist in developing and implementing installation plans. May assist in preparation and presentation of systems assurance reviews. Identifies requirements and deficiencies in hardware and software products.
General Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with software engineers, architects and quality assurance to deploy and operate our systems.
• Candidate will design, build, maintain, and support Infrastructure servers located On Premise and in a cloud environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments
• Provide expert support for troubleshooting of server issues at customer site.
• Perform systems analysis and functional testing as needed.

Education / Experience:
1. Should have a minimum of 02 years of technology experience
2. Good background in Linux Administration
3. Experience with deploying software apps in a Linux environment
4. Experience with scripting: Bash shell, Python
5. Experience with virtual server environments: VMWare, Hyper-V, docker…
6. Experience with SQL and/or relational databases/ or NoSQL databases is a plus
7. Working knowledge of AI/Machine Learning would be an asset
8. Excellent communication skills, problem solving and crisis management skills, and strong analytical skills with the ability to work as an effective member of a team.
9. Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes.
10. Good English reading and comprehension skills.
