• Architect and develop highly scalable as well as supportable solutions in complex environment.
  • Work with stake holders to define clear requirements and deliverables for the project.
  • Work with stake holders to define clear timeline and milestones for the project.
  • Understand current tools (and their capabilities) as well as technical expertise of the team to design highly supportable solutions.
  • Consider load and scaling requirements for the application and employ automated scaling where feasible.
  • Research/evaluate and be familiar with tools and services available in the evolving IT and cloud market.
• Manage servers and services in production environment and ensure service availability.
  • Troubleshoot problems, outages and performance issues.
  • Understand the technologies being used in the environment.
  • Periodically review monitoring setup/coverage and thresholds.
  • Ensure OS/machines/tools are upgraded periodically.
  • Perform regular maintenance of licenses, certificates, patches, ciphers etc.
  • Create and maintain robust documentation/knowledgebase for all new servers/projects.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
• Develop and strictly adhere to operational policies, procedures, controls and standards.
  • Develop new policies, standards and principals as the environment evolves.
  • Ensure system design complies with policies, standards and principals.
  • Perform audits and security reviews to ensure consistency in configuration/setup.
  • Develop and implement patching/upgrade strategy for all software/devices.
• Deploy automation to implement operational tasks, jobs, reports etc.
  • Design solutions for enforcing uniform environments, monitor environment drifts.
  • Deploy configuration management and auditing tools.
  • Deploy Infrastructure as Code to ensure consistency.
  • Adhere to best practices and standards when creating scripts.
  • Create frameworks and standards for operational processes/jobs/scripts.
  • Own the development, deployment and on-going management of operational tasks, jobs, scripts etc.
• Maintain top quality technical skills in a broad range of IT topics and products/tools etc.
  • Research and implement relevant tools and technologies for managing and monitoring infrastructure.
  • Keep up-to-date understanding and knowledge of new tools/techniques.
  • Maintain understanding of changes in Azure and adhere to the Azure best practices.
  • Keep up with the latest developments in industry trends.
  • Understand differences in best practices between on-prem, cloud and hybrid deployments.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in a technical lead position.
• 2 years of experience with Microsoft products such as Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL server etc.
• 1+ years of experience with AZURE cloud computing across Windows and/or Linux
• 1 years of hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting.
• 1 years of experience designing and working with Data backup solutions and maintaining highly secure and compliant environments.
• Azure DevOps/Solutions Architect certification(s) preferred.
• Strong systems architecture knowledge and familiarity with design principles.
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Windows, SQL, AD, etc.
• Clear understanding of Networking and server technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of securing servers and infrastructure.
• Understand and create network and server architecture diagrams.
• Ability to create clear and robust documentation/wikis/training materials..
• Good communication skills (written / verbal) in English
