In 2020, following an amazing year of growth and another successful round of fundraising lead by leAD Sports, Buzzbike will be significantly expanding the number of bikes including the launch of its first E bike. To support this growth Buzzbike needs to build a scalable technology solution that becomes the hub of the business, supporting every aspect of the service from asset management, delivery, customer profile, payments, maintenance, customer support, member bike usage data (personal and rewards) and key business analytics. In parallel the customer website, mobile app and gamification will continue to evolve to allow members to better self-serve, offer richer data, more engaging gamification and ultimately the easiest and most rewarding way to ride a bike in the city.

We are looking for a Senior Frontend/React Native Engineer to be one of the first team members in Buzzbike’s first international office based in Vietnam. In this role you will be responsible for the ongoing development and evolution of the website, rebuilding mobile and gamification platform and partnering with the backend engineer on the control panel.

Your role will include but not limited to:

• Turning wireframes into reality for web and mobile projects.
• Architecting and building our frontend web and mobile project structures.
• Working with the founders and backend engineers to define and build the next generation of our operational and consumer-facing experiences.
• Writing clean, tractable code with automated unit and functional testing.
• Releasing and updating mobile applications on the App Store and Google Play store.
• Re-working our existing website, operations dashboards and mobile applications to deliver the new features our users demand.
• Working on analytics and health related data projects to improve the Buzzbike experience for our users.

This is the ideal role for an experienced frontend senior who has moved into mobile development. You should desire to take a leadership role in product and be excited by the prospect of setting standards and building an engineering team. You likely have prior experience in leading a team but are happy to work on your own initially and are ready to define the architecture and execute against business priorities to make 2020 a break-out year for Buzzbike.

You should feel confident in the following:

• 4+ years experience with HTML5/CSS3/Javascript
• Experience with React Native or native mobile development for iOS/Android
• In-market production iOS or Android applications you can show us
• Experience with Javascript frameworks such as React, VueJS or Ember
• Experience with Gatsby is highly valued
• Prior experience in a product company is highly valued
• Excellent English communication skills both spoken and written
• Proficiency with a CSS Preprocessor such as SASS or LESS
• Experience developing asynchronous web applications using AJAX
• Knowledge of the HTML DOM objects and their properties
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
• Comfortable working with existing code and writing from scratch
• Confident to architect and lead development with or without a team around you
• Familiarity with source control systems (Git or SVN) is preferred
• Self-motivated and fast-moving
