The Software Development Manager will be part of our HUB team in Ho Chi Minh City – District 2
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, HUB based in Australia, the Software Development Manager is a highly motivated technical manager who will be responsible for leading our development team in Vietnam for the purpose of partnering with the team in Australia to support the development of our key products.
How you will contribute
In leading the Development Team in Vietnam, you will be required to work closely with the HUB leadership team as well as Delivery and Project Managers to ensure that our development team has the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities to meet the current and future needs of the organisation.
Your day will be varied and constantly changing, thought your key responsibilities will include:
- Day to day management and coaching of the software engineering team
- Being the key person involved in hiring at a pace and quality required by the company
- Ensuring local SDLC processes are compliant with Hansen methods
- Resourcing of team members to support projects for various clients.
- Role modelling positive and proactive communication that focuses on knowledge sharing
- Promoting and implementing engineering initiatives

Your Skills and Experience
You are ready for your next challenge, you have spent your recent career managing and leading technical teams and are now ready for the next step. We are looking for someone who has ideally had:
- 7+ years in software development of commercial business systems
- 3+ years’ experience managing teams over 10 technical resources in a Scrum/Agile environment
- Relevant and current experience in a leadership role developing enterprise applications as part of an internationally distributed team
- Comfortable and effective leading within a matrix organisation
- Strong people management skills, communication skills and relationship skills
- Extensive software engineering experience
In addition, we would love it, if you also had:
- Utility or CIS/CRM experience is desirable
- University degree or equivalent experience
