*** The role: The senior developer (a.k.a Tech lead) will lead a small team of engineers on a product led mission to deliver new products and features to market. You’ll be working closely with your product manager (and our and UX team) to understand the value, shortest and best path to solution and then leading the team to execute it successfully. The role is a lynch-pin in the flow of work as well as in providing technical leadership.

*** About you: You will be a champion for good engineering practice and be well rehearsed in being able to articulate technical challenges and manage debt and cross-functional requirements with product managers. You’ll always present solutions and you’ll understand the fine balance of investment in engineering time vs. The value of what is being built and for who.

***Your responsibilities:
- Participate in product roadmap planning and sprints, intended to drive clarity on the solution and the value.
- Develop fit for purpose technical (just the right level of detail!) to support the work which needs to be done.
- Manage the flow of work for the team – from breakdown to backlog to showcase.
- Facilitate and participate in technical workshops and forums to share what you are working on, minimise replication and re-work and share new value created.
- Collaborate with technical architects and the CTO to understand the architecture roadmap and align your own initiatives and practices accordingly.
- Support your working team in learning new skills – work across several teams (from time to time) on specific skills uplift areas.
- Manage the levels of technical debt in your components and services and the ones you need to work on.
- Monitor and manage components and service performance – surface this intel to your team and product manager.
- Bring a level of developer operations experience to the team – from CI/CD pipeline management to service monitoring and support.

*** A successful applicant must have the following:
- A degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar senior developer or tech lead role.
- Experience with and basic practices and rituals.
- A demonstrated and solid grasp of scalable software principles – and domain.
- A coaching and mentoring mindset – teaching through encouragement and problem discussion.
- ReactJs, PHP, NodeJs, Typescript.
- DevOps experience with pipeline management tools.

*** A successful applicant should have advanced or better skills in most of the following:
- /SOA/Event driven principles.
- Experience with Event Streaming (e.g. Kafaka, Event Hub, Kinesis).
- API standards (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
- E2E testing frameworks and strategies.
- Implementation of best-practice secuity in front end and back end development.

*** A successful applicant might have skills in the following:
- Graph databases, data science or ML.
- And -based component libraries.
- And Active Directory environments.
- Continuous integration and delivery.
