- Develop, troubleshoot, and debug software
- Break user stories and acceptance criteria down into technical requirements that you will then use to plan sprints and develop against
- Write tests according to acceptance criteria
- Build integrations with 3rd party APIs
- Work within a Scrum framework
- Contribute your expertise to our technical roadmap
- Be available on Slack according to a regular schedule, and participate in a daily scrum
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team

Your Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience building MERN stack web-apps, back-end focus
- Experience with RESTful web services
- Experience writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests
- Experience working in a Scrum framework
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code
- Excellent written English
- Strong team player with outstanding communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Bonus points for the following:
- Experience with TensorFlow.js or other Node.js ML libraries
- Experience working with OCR applications
- Experience working in the Chinese software ecosystem: understanding its limitations and requirements when providing an international service hosted on a Chinese server
- Experience with Aliyun hosting solutions
