We are looking for a Senior Software Tester to establish and monitor testing metrics, mentors team members as well as develop test programs. 

As a Senior Software Tester, you will be instrumental in continuing to shape our Testing Process and tools to ensure we are delivering high-quality, well-tested software, on time. You will take ownership over our test automation frameworks and their operational excellence as part of our continuous integration and delivery processes. In some special cases, you might also be involved into projects as a senior test engineer.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Take proactive, expert ownership of Senior Software Tester role on internal and client projects
• Assist in reviewing and refining existing Testing Process, controls, and best practices
• Work closely across all capabilities (e.g., technology, project management, user experience/creative, etc.) to ensure that all quality assurance requirements are defined and properly documented
• Partner closely with the development teams to replicate and resolve issues
• Act as a SME for all testing aspects, providing testing services, mentoring QC team members, assist the leadership in training and mentoring other QC members on best practices and testing techniques.
• Also, act as a strong advocate for quality and share testing knowledge with other team members within the company.
• Understanding the automation testing frameworks, technology and the ‘inhouse’ automation approach to support company’s automation strategy to be implemented correctly and smoothly.
• Define and track for several metrics while testing is in-progress, such as: defect categories & their densities, open defects count (by severity/by state), status & progress of test execution, number of bugs found daily, QC’s allocation and their assignment status, etc…

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Having an extensive understanding in QC process (Agile and Waterfall), tools, and approaches.
• Having experience in working with project & task management, and test management software, such as JIRA or similar systems.
• Having knowledge & experience of test automation or performance test framework and tools (e.g., Robot framework)
• Expertise in various types of software testing: functional and non-functional testing – regression testing, performance testing, etc.
• Experience in cross device/cross OS version testing
• Ability to understand business needs and translate them into test cases and test scenarios in the system test and user acceptance test levels
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams and clients
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in working with multiple sites team in different time zone is a plus

DESIRED QUALIFICATION

• Familiar with relevant policies, procedures, and technical parameters specific to the job.
• Have basic functional and technical know-how to succeed in the job. Learns new functional and technical skills readily.
• Certification in Testing (e.x: ISTQB…) is desirable
• Experience creating automation frameworks from scratch - including tool selection is preferred
• Experience applying test automation as part of CI/CD
