Live group is seeking an experienced Mobile Application Technical Architect to join our growing/multi-national team. Reporting directly to our Vietnam based Team Leader, the Technical Architect will work closely with the development team to provide technical support of the project from inception, release, and enhancements.

The role will be required to:

• Identify core functional requirements and prepare the high-level design including:
  • Analysing, evaluating, and documenting functional requirements.
  • Gathering non-functional requirements.
  • Choosing the system architecture and each component at a high level.
  • Choosing the technologies for the implementation of each component and the connections between the parts.
• Prepare a detailed architectural design system based on requirements, including:
  • Designing the architectural review.
  • Building the prototype or POC.
  • Providing an estimation on the technical solution. (CC Comment – what estimation? Price? Length of time?)
  • Assessing and defining the risks that may affect the solution implementation.
  • Assessing and defining technical debts.
• Monitor development processes including:
  • Managing technical changes and controlling the architecture between releases.
  • Building and monitoring development standards.
  • Reviewing developer code and supervising deployments.
• Keep up with latest technology trends.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the development team including:
  • Conflict resolution
  • Managing and following up on assigned tasks.
  • Planning resource requirements.
  • Reviewing solution estimations.
  • Providing training and guidance to junior members.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience in mobile application development using different Android development frameworks such as Native Android, Flutter.
• Solid understanding of mobile application development and deployment.
• Experience reviewing source code (Java, Kotlin) to ensure best practice.
• Experience with cloud hosting (AWS).
• Experience in managing teams including leading and coaching at least one software engineering team on multiple projects.
• Solid experience in Agile development environments.
• Strong understanding of standard Software Engineering processes, Testing, and Agile methodology.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and application security.
• Experience working in the payments and/or financial services industries is an advantage.
