WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Be responsible for algorithm research and development (e.g. including but not limited to gesture/ activity recognition) as well as validating these algorithms to make sure they work as intended
- Study research papers to leverage latest developments in health and fitness to improve and develop new features for our products
- Research new sensors and explore how they can be used to improve current algorithms
- Maintain and improve current in-house developed algorithms
- Work with Firmware engineers to integrate developed algorithm from high-level language to C/C++ in order to run on device
- Work with 3rd party providers to integrate their technology into our products. Write up validation documents in order to verify if these algorithms work as advertised.

WHAT WE NEED
- Strong knowledge in Digital Signal Processing, especially in signal filtering techniques. Need to have fundamental knowledge of different kinds of sensors (especially the ones used to capture motion signals), how these signals are affected by environmental noise and how to cope with this kind of problem.
- Have basic background in Embedded System and how to optimize algorithm (in terms of power and performance) for this kind of system
- Solid practical knowledge in Machine Learning and good understanding of the whole development cycle of a machine learning problem
- Strong background in the field of Statistic and Probability
- Strong programing skill (preferably MATLAB) in any programming language (candidate can pick the language of their choice in interview)
- A curious and innovative mindset. Always want to explore, learn something new and apply this new knowledge to continuously improve company products.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
