Vincere - a global SAAS solution is looking for a Head of Software Development to be a leader to their multiple teams of software engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day work of the Development department. Mentor and manage the performance and personal development of the team of Software Engineers
• Responsibility for the speed and quality of the work produced by the Software Engineers
• Providing technical, strategic guidance and manage delivery from multiple cross-functional teams in the department.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding of new staff.
• Champion best practice within Agile Scrum.
• Work alongside the Product Team to manage strategic projects, and tactical fixes throughout the full lifecycle.
• Manage stakeholder relations (third party suppliers and contractors)

• Proven extensive technical knowledge and managerial experience of leading development teams/departments
• Java Experience
• Excellent knowledge of large-scale high availability software Java applications
• Experience delivering software solutions in a public-facing, highly available environment
• Experience of Dev-Ops (must be in AWS) and any of the following:
  • React/Angular
  • Docker
  • Unit testing technologies
  • CI Development experience
  • Kubernetes
  • Apache SOLR
