POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position will be to support UX design efforts and help document and maintain standards and components across the platform. This role will perform technical planning; support system integration, verification, and validation; and support the hand-off between the design and development teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Translate high-level objectives and design principles into polished visual design
• Ensuring proper developer notes and annotations of design system, components, and design elements, e.g., component behaviors and configurations
• Supports interpreting business needs into effective visual communication tools and with communicating design concepts to highly technical resources
• Contribute to the ideation and concept development of visual design concepts
• Design user experiences that are intuitive and elegant and in-line with current design trends and concepts, delivering wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
• Be an advocate for interaction design best practices with a focus on consistency and usability
• Clear understanding of accessibility (contrast, font size, color, touch, and more) to achieve AA levels
• Needs to have an intermediate knowledge of Figma, the Adobe suite, & XD, or similar with ability and willingness to master these tools
• Help ensure design is technically feasible and problem solve across teams when there is misalignment

Must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical or design related field and design portfolio
• Advanced proficiency in React, Figma, XD, the Adobe suite, and Acrobat, or similar, with ability and desire to master these specific tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate and brainstorm in a group
• Experience with transitions, animation, motion design and dynamic interaction
• Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills, along with presentation and negotiation skills
• A penchant for details and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress and meet deadlines
• Familiar with agile development processes and comfortable working closely with technical resources
• The ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously
• Must be familiar with design standards, including responsive design, and with managing and implementing design systems
• Proficient in English
