Security Operations Engineer (Senior)

Department: Information Security.

Report to: Head of Information Security.

Our growing company is searching for experienced candidates for the position of security operations engineer. To join our growing team, please review the list of responsibilities and requirements. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate-wide information security solution to ensure that information assets are adequately protected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Using your knowledge of IT Security principles, techniques, and technologies you will own developing and maintaining supporting documentation, you will be required to assist in deploying automation of operational processes and procedures, identify weaknesses, propose, plan and deploy improvements to address and enhance the infrastructure design.
• Build, install, configure security solutions including appliances, applications, and hardware
• Write technical standards to meet corporate policies and industry best practices
• Review logs and reports of all in-place devices, whether they are under direct control (i.e., security tools) or not (i.e., workstations, servers, network devices,) to insure proper configuration
• Monitor security systems and if a risk is identified, work with the responsible department to take necessary corrective action.

Job Requirements:                  

• Hands-on experience in patching, hardening OS, system, DB according CIS benchmark.
• Experience in at least one scripting language, like Python, Perl, …
• Hands-on experience in best practices with security for on-premises and cloud computing.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring & logging solution, using Grafana Loki, Prometheus, ELK, Graylog, …
• Cloud Security knowledge is preferable.
