We are looking for a Senior Business Data Analyst to join our team in HCMC, Vietnam who will match our ambitions, and help us Better ourselves and achieve our goals. The Senior Business Data Analyst contributes to GeoComply’s success by developing reports for customers with intel regarding their users based on information and data gathered through our systems as well as delivering dashboards supporting business growth. This position reports the Business Data Analyst Lead on a day-to-day basis. You are able to, and enjoy, working with multiple teams across locations, have good communication and interpersonal skills. You have experience working in short, agile, iterative development cycles and have a great passion for working in agile development process environments.

What You Will Be Doing

• Understanding company structure and goals.
• Deeply understand data structures, data & report flows.
• Communicating with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and drive key metrics that best fit their needs.
• Utilize scripts, BI tools to acquire data from different sources, do data transformation and produce periodic reports, dashboard for internal, external customers and businesses.
• Ensure reports delivered with accurate, user-friendly and standard outcomes.
• Do research and data analysis to draw actionable insights from raw data supporting business.  
• Stay informed of database changes to ensure that reports are produced as expected and accurate.
• Find out the unusual trends and anomalies of data and report to alert and work with cross teams for problem solving.
• Independently manage team/project resources to achieve project’s goals.
• Look for opportunities to design innovative solutions to improve team process, productivity and outcomes.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s technologies, processes, and teams
• Build cooperation and overcome barriers to information sharing and communication within and across teams.
• Share knowledge and have the ability to mentor, coach new team members.

Your skills & qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields
• At least 2 years of experience as a senior position in the related fields
• Demonstrated skills in analytical thinking, logical thinking and problem-solving
• Ability to set priority and manage projects, resources to achieve goals.
• Good at communication, negotiation with stakeholders and presentation delivery.
• Collaborative, client-centric mindset and taking responsibility for delivering high-quality customer-focused services
• Accuracy, detail-oriented, and also able to see the big picture and the bottom line.
• Having experience on storytelling and building insight dashboards is a plus.
• Open minded, result-oriented, innovative and proactive
• Design processes and reports based on the customer’s point of view and needs
• Proficient with BI reporting tools (i.e. PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik…)
• Experience with data processing using a programming language (SQL, Python…)
• Proficient in verbal and written communication, both in English and Vietnamese
