• Develop and maintain the organization's data security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Oversee the implementation of security controls and measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's data and information systems
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans, identifying potential security threats and developing mitigation strategies to address them.
• Manage security incidents, investigating security breaches and ensuring that incidents are promptly and appropriately addressed
• Collaborate with different departments and teams to ensure that the organization's data and information systems are effectively managed, with appropriate access controls, backups, and disaster recovery plans
• Develop and deliver training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees on data security best practices and ensure a strong culture of data security across the organization
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the organization's data security programs and initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in data security, and provide recommendations for new technologies and best practices to enhance the organization's data security posture
• This role is both strategic and tactical must have strong technical capabilities in the security arena, particularly in the areas of data loss prevention and other data management technologies strong leadership skills with their team, and across other teams

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of data security principles and best practices, with experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures
• Experience in managing security incidents, conducting risk assessments, and developing mitigation strategies to address security threats
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, and ISO 27002
• Experience with cloud security, particularly AWS security services, such as Amazon GuardDuty, Amazon Inspector, and Amazon Macie.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with different departments and teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks.

• Partner with and facilitate between the Application Development, Risk and Control teams to determine the best security solution for a specific application based on the risk profile and data protection requirements the technical capabilities and limitations of the standard approved security tools
