• Proactively identify and resolve database performance impediments by proposing and delivering changes to the codebase. Optimize database systems for performance and reliability
• Provide guidance and best practices to developers writing stored procedures
• Perform code review of database change
• Perform analysis and investigation to support business and customer support teams, assisting in troubleshooting incidents in production
• Perform proactive maintenance on databases: SQL Server, Azure SQL, Couchbase, Cosmos DB, and Redis
• Design and implement script for data transformation and export
• Collaborate with developers to create physical and logical data models
• Manage and monitor the performance, capacity, and security of database systems
• Prepare documentation regarding database design, configuration, and change management.

Must-have:

• 3+ years’ experience as a database engineer or database administrator
• Extensive experience in the development and maintenance of relational databases
• Good English, both written and spoken. Good communication skills to work with a variety of internal stakeholders
• Ability to effectively diagnose, isolate and resolve complex problems pertaining to data infrastructure
• Possesses good communication and organization skills, flexibility, and the proven ability to work on multiple projects at once.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with NO-SQL and document databases
• Experience interacting with data warehouses and analytical solutions
• Experience with Snowflake and Tableau
