Job description
- Manage SQL Server databases on EC2
- Manage AWS RDS – PostgreSQL, Aurora, Redshift and support the current blend of Monolith and Microservices ecosystem
- Configure and maintain database servers on the AWS and processes
- Monitor the system’s health and performance
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
- Provide suggestions for solutions and workaround to various Development and Data teams
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
- Ensure all tasks and supporting procedures are documented

Yêu cầu công việc
Your skills and experience
- Experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role
- Active Certification AWS Certified Database or willingness to obtain
- 1-4 years of experience with any AWS RDS Administration is required
- Relevant experience working with containerized environments/applications is required.
- Relevant experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
- Relevant experience with backups restores and recovery models
- Relevant experience & knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Servers & various RDS on AWS
- 4+ years of experience with Windows servers, including Active Directory
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Very good verbal English communication skills, especially in the global software development environment
