Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA and Testing Engineer to join our team. As a QA and Testing Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Your expertise in identifying and documenting software defects, as well as your ability to troubleshoot and analyse issues, will be essential in delivering high-quality software products to our clients.

Your skills and experience

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project requirements and identify testable features.
• Conduct functional, regression, performance, and usability testing to verify software functionality and performance. 
• Develop custom scripts to automate software testing using open-source tools as well as our proprietary testing platform.
• Utilize test plans and testing frameworks effectively to ensure rigorous quality assurance.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring their timely resolution and retesting.
• Perform root cause analysis of software defects and provide detailed reports on findings.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing activities.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in software quality assurance and testing.
• Participate in the review and analysis of business and technical requirements to provide valuable insights and ensure testability of software applications.
• Work closely with the release management team to ensure smooth software deployments and releases.
• Provide accurate and timely status reports on testing progress, test coverage, and defect metrics to project stakeholders.

Requirements:

•  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Able to work with a geographically distributed staff across different time zones and multi-functional software development team members in diverse technical disciplines
