Purpose of the position

This role is responsible for managing and overseeing the DevOps team and related projects. Designs, builds and maintains a stable and efficient infrastructure to optimize service delivery across production and development environments throughout the development lifecycle. Performing the following tasks:

• Developing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining key infrastructure services/system that will be consumed by the application development teams.
• Work to improve speed, efficiency and scalability of all systems.
• Communicate with team members to clarify requirements and overcome obstacles.
• Create infrastructure or enhance the current infrastructure that is scalable, performant, reliable, and secure.
• Maintain monitoring; alerting once the incident happens.
• Collaborate with developers to make sure new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices.
• Monitor performance of production systems; give recommendations for enhancing performance and assist in implementation.
• Improve the development pipeline from local development to production.
• Implement, maintain, and test a disaster recovery plan.

Main duties and responsibilities

1. Operate:

• Perform defined procedures to monitor the health and performance of applications.
• Execute jobs for applications and monitor their results. For any errors, follow the defined protocol to notify supervisor and/or vendor
• Recommend ideas on improving the applications, particularly on operation automation

2. Manage & Monitor:

• Manage the DevOps team and give the solution to implement DevOps model, always research the new techniques to improve them
• Manage the way to apply DevOps, Container/ Kubernetes into IT Projects/Products
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure platform
• Monitor and optimize application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Administration of our different DevOps tools.

3. CI/CD

• Build and Optimize CICD, DevOps model follow the current project status and share to DevOps members.
• Ability to deploy CICD, DevOps for IT projects / products
• Ability to work flexibly with different models and types of projects
• Ability to analyze systems and problems in the implementation process, and propose improvements if any
• Experience in working with containers and kubernetes is plus
• Have become familiar with tools like Gitlab, Gitlab runner, Docker, Sonarqube
• Experience in working with Linux, Windows Server environments
• Got familiar with the large system architectures
• Experience with general monitoring tools (ex: Solarwinds, Splunk)

• Bachelors in computer science or Information Technology
• 7 years of experience on managing application development, software delivery lifecycle, and/or infrastructure development and administration
• At least 2 years on DevOps manager level.
• Minimum of 5 years’ design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns, code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management 
• Experience on tools like Jenkins, SVN, Git, Ansible, Artifactory, Service Now, Sonar, SeleniumProven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux based environments;
• Solid scripting skills (e.g., Shell scripts, Python …);
• Experience with monitoring systems (Zabbix, Solarwinds, Splunk …);
• Experience in design high-availability systems;
• Experience with Containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes are plus;
• Experience with Application and infrastructure security automation
• Good presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
