We are looking for an IT Engineer (SysOps) to strengthen further our service in digital transformations. The IT Engineer (SysOps) shall ensure the day-to-day smooth running of IT infrastructure and systems, network for the whole company and indirectly for our global clients.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The main responsibilities of the Senior IT Engineer (SysOps) include:

Infra/System Administration 

• Organize, automate and schedule upgrades and maintenance to servers and workstations without deterring others from completing their work.
• Test and evaluate new hardware and software before full-scale installation.
• Ensure (automated) the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software.
• Design and ensure the system backups and in place and disaster recovery is planned.
• Be responsible for monitoring and addressing problems in a number of environments across storage and server hardware & operating system software (including Windows, Linux, and Virtualised environments).
• Administer, and maintain Microsoft Active Directory system for the local domain. Set up accounts and workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.)
• Check computer hardware (laptops, HDD, mouses, keyboards, headsets, webcams, etc.) to ensure the functionality if required.
• Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.

Cloud infrastructure 

• Maintain O365, Azure AD, Azure cloud resources, Amazon AWS, and dockerized containers in ways that optimize performance and cost.
• Indirectly support the external clients or delivery project teams with cloud-related configurations/issues.

System Security

• Select and implement security tools, Firewall policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s internal IT team.
• Administer, maintain the system & installing relevant software packages.
• Analyze security systems, and seek improvements on a continuous basis, and report possible threats or software issues.

Network 

• Implement, and configure networking environment; perform system installation; define, document, and enforce system standards, including legacy networking (switching, static, dynamic, and rule-based routing, VPN, etc.) and modern cloud infrastructure (Subnets, Gateways, Load-Balancers, Peering, etc.)
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; and scheduling upgrades.

Monitoring 

• Ensure the servers/applications are monitored properly across the whole delivery organization and alerts are set up for necessary actions to address the problems ASAP.
• Setup, administer and monitor Zabbix, Grafana, and various Monitoring Systems.

Other tasks 

• Make sure all infrastructure architectures, systems & info are documented.
• Provide day-to-day support to internal/external clients if required. Continuous improvement 
• Provide periodic environment reviews and suggestions for enhancement of services or resiliency of environments.
• Take initiative in improving reporting, processes, workflow, and client outcomes.
• Study and share new techniques, practices, tools and share with other team members.
• Identify the potential technology innovations and engage with businesses that increase infrastructure flexibility, reliability, scalability, resilience, availability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct proactive research to analyze security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies.

Must have:

• Bachelor of IT, Computer Science, or relevant field
• Have strong understanding/knowledge of Network/System Fundamental, router, layer-2/3 switch, Cisco, HP, Ubiquiti… BGP Multihoming, Stacking, VRRP, STP, NAC techniques…
• Have excellent understanding/knowledge of Core Infrastructure (CCNA/MCSA equivalent)
• Have a good understanding/knowledge of Advanced Infrastructure (CCNP/MCSE equivalent), including Designing, Optimizing, and Troubleshooting
• Have a good experience in firewalls such as Palo Alto, CheckPoint, Juniper, Cisco … (preferably Palo Alto) with features VPN Site-to-Site, Threat Prevention, Antivirus, Sandbox, URL Filtering…
• Have good knowledge of system, storage and Microsoft services such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Radius, WSUS, WDS... from vendors such as HP, Supermicro, Synology
• Have good knowledge of virtualization systems (Hyper-V, VMware vSphere)
• Strong experience with SCCM and in-depth knowledge of security and experience using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
• Experience in handling any cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP) & network, and system/data migration.
• Good communication skills (in English and Vietnamese). 
• Ability to analyze, architect, plan, monitor and optimize the infrastructure to meet the company and client expectations in terms of performance and cost.

Nice to have:

• Have a good experience with Azure Stack HCI is a plus.
• Have skills using scripting and programming in any scripting language (Python, Perl, Shell + AWK, TCL, etc.) and communication protocols (REST, SNMP, SOAP, etc.)
• Experience in using generic automation and orchestration platforms for Infrastructure Automation tasks is a plus.
• Microsoft Azure Certification or similar industry certification/qualification is highly regarded.
• Experience working in a customer support environment - phone, email, chat support.
• Good customer service skills with the ability to effectively deal with customer inquiries within a timely manner.
• Be able to consult the customer with the best possible infra solution.
