About the role

SMG Real Estate (a business unit of SMG Swiss Marketplace Group AG) is running the top 2 leading digital real estate classifieds platforms in Switzerland. We empower everyone to make the best decisions in Swiss real estate and bring commercial real estate agencies, owners and potential tenants and buyers together.

We count more than 15 million visits from people who use our portal and have more than 100 million page views per month.

The Platform Team at SMG Real Estate is responsible for SRE both as a discipline across Engineering and by owning the infrastructure on top of which our external facing products are built, in addition to, together with our Developer Experience team, provide and support the platform other engineering teams use to develop, deploy and operate their systems.

What you will do

In this job, you will...

• Design, implement and operate the AWS infrastructure on which our serverless ecosystem runs
• Evaluate and implement AWS infrastructure automation solutions
• Support the engineering teams with creating secure and reliable cloud applications
• Promote, mentor and facilitate best cloud practices within Engineering
• Challenge the status quo and continuously improve the production environment
• Review and improve the existing backup / disaster recovery processes

You must Have...

• Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent knowledge of AWS infrastructure, AWS multi-account strategy and Landing Zones.
• Experience with AWS services: IAM, CloudFormation, CloudFront, CloudWatch, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, Route 53, and AWS WAF.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and an agile mindset.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.

• Experience with AWS CDK
• Experience with AWS X-Ray
• AWS professional or specialty certifications
