WE NEED YOU ON OUR TEAM!

• Build a new DS/ML team in VN – as the first team member, you’ll be able to hire your own team
• Spearhead the introduction of new modeling use cases – our business has predictive ML scenarios from segmentation over quantile regression to reinforcement learning
• Ensure technical and operational excellence, including the technical implementation of our ML library
• Work with the other vertical leaders to represent DSML, where inside the Data & Insights org (Data Engineering, Descriptive Analytics, Gen AI), or outside (Product, Solutions Consulting, Operations) of Data
• Drive best practices and actively work to grow our people, both inside and outside your team. Define what they need to grow and work with the leadership to provide it to your staff.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING ALONG!

• 5-10 years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning, with some level of leadership experience
• Principal-level skills in either Data Science (focus on translation of business problems and information into analytics use cases and statistical variables) or Machine Learning Engineering (deployment, management and monitoring of in-production models).
• Strong algorithmic knowledge – you should have the background to identify which modeling approach is best for a business problem, and why
• Strong business acumen is highly welcome – we build models to generate value for our clients. You don’t need to bring knowledge about the logistics or e-commerce sector, but we expect you to bring a curious mind and willingness to learn
• Strong proficiency in Python and either Pandas or Polars. Data-related understanding of algorithms (functional programming) or languages (Scala, Rust) is welcome but not required.
• Good communication skills, and the ability to translate findings for a non-technical audience.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Open-minded, friendly, and strong willingness to keep learning and pushing yourself to higher and higher levels.
• Curiosity about anything AI. Parcel Perform is all in AI – willingness to leverage AI to make us stronger is a must.
