Your Mission:

This job refers to our Automotive brands. We are journeying to simplify our products and strengthen our technology stack through a large-scale rewrite. We’re building on a modern technology stack with Java, following best practices, and striving to build/measure/learn at a high cadence. Specifically, you will work on:

• Work as part of an agile team:
  • Be the voice of QA during agile ceremonies. Autonomously drive the testing life cycle to ensure quality from medium to large-sized features while reducing the system's tech debt or legacy issues in assigned projects
  • Collaborate with agile teams to ship valuable product increments.
  • Actively participate in ticket refinement/grooming by bringing up unforeseen scenarios and use cases.
• Perform thorough functionality tests:
  • Review acceptance criteria, developer notes, and design documents to formulate test cases.
  • Test domain-driven web referencing database-heavy back-end systems and check the consistency across devices, browsers, and operating systems.
  • Conduct periodic exploratory testing in test environments.
• Be responsible for product quality:
  • Work with the engineering teams to derive testing requirements throughout the development cycle.
  • Provide inputs on high-level test scenarios, challenges, risks, resources, test estimates, etc., during test planning meetings.
• Support Bug Triage process:
  • Reproduces bugs, isolates problems, and verifies fixes.
  • Report any bugs/defects found in a clear, friendly, and easily reproducible manner.
  • Keep track of incidents, and perform deep root cause analysis followed by recommended action items.
  • Track defects and help troubleshoot errors.

What will you bring to the ride?

• 4+ years’ experience in the same role.
• Good hands-on experience in:
  • API testing using Postman for REST-based designs.
  • Testing UI responsive web application (preferably React).
  • Database testing (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL).
• A pragmatic and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for the product’s quality.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and an Agile mindset.
• Willing to take on new challenges proactively.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Understanding of automation testing concepts or ability to do automation testing (e.g., Cypress).
• Basic scripting skills (e.g., JavaScript).
• Experience with mobile testing (iOS and/or Android).
• Familiarity with security testing principles.
