We are looking for a Middle/Senior QA Engineer with a mindset to transform from QC (Quality Control) to QA (Quality Assurance) - not just "testing and finding bugs" but proactively building quality assurance processes throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

You will work in a "Shift-left Testing" environment, where QC participates from the very beginning of projects, collaborating with Product and Development teams to shape product quality rather than just checking after code completion.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain test strategy and test plans for projects/features
  • Design test cases/scenarios ensuring comprehensive coverage (functional, integration, edge cases)
  • Define and maintain standard checklists for release testing
  • Manage bug lifecycle
  • Participate early in refinement/planning to review requirements and identify test conditions
  • Collaborate with BA/PO to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria
  • Train and guide DEV team to execute test cases, review test results
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality for integration points
  • Perform exploratory testing, acceptance testing, and integration testing
  • Root cause analysis for issues and propose preventive actions
  • Monitor and report test metrics, quality status to stakeholders
  • Continuously improve testing processes and best practices
  • Propose and implement new tools/frameworks to improve efficiency
  • Maintain testing documentation and knowledge sharing

Must-have

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of QA/QC experience
  • Experience testing web applications, mobile apps, or backend APIs
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (Agile/Scrum)
  • Participated in testing at least 1-2 products from concept to production

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in test design techniques (Equivalence Partitioning, Boundary Value Analysis, Decision Table...)
  • Understanding of API testing (REST APIs, JSON/XML, Postman/Swagger)
  • Experience with test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or equivalent)
  • Ability to work with version control (Git) to manage test specs
  • Able to read and understand technical documents (API specs, database schema, architecture diagrams)

Process & Methodology:

  • Understand and apply Bug Severity/Priority classification
  • Ability to analyze requirements and identify test conditions
  • Know how to estimate testing effort and plan test schedule
  • Have risk-based testing mindset - prioritize testing based on business impact

Soft Skills:

  • Good communication skills - present test approach, report status, raise risks
  • Critical thinking - not just test by script but think beyond
  • Proactive - don't wait for assignment but actively identify testing needs
  • Collaboration - work well with PO, BA, DEV, and cross-functional teams
  • Attention to details - catch small things but don't miss the big picture

Nice-to-have

Domain Knowledge:

  • Experience testing in Fintech/Banking/E-commerce/Payment domain
  • Understanding of transaction flows, data consistency, reconciliation
  • Experience testing high-traffic systems or distributed systems
  • Good English comprehension

Technical Plus:

  • Know how to write basic automation scripts (Selenium, Gauge, RestAssured...)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI)
  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6)
