ABOUT THE JOB

The Business Verification Test Engineer (BVT) will be part of the product team and assist Product Owners to complete Business Verification Testing whenever there is a release for one of their changes or a change that impacts one of their assets. Expectation is that this testing will ensure a performant, resilient and efficient asset that meets business expectations. Deliver high-quality, compliant testing for AAD and enterprise changes by executing BVT, maintaining regression coverage, supporting automation, and ensuring governance through standardised documentation and test profile controls.

What will you be responsible for?

Core Responsibilities

Business Verification Testing (BVT) - Regression

• Execute all regression BVT for all BVT requests, including DR exercises and CE/DAF monthly releases.
• Prepare test data, validate environments, run test cases, and document results.
• Handle late-night/weekend windows (e.g., DR runs at 2AM and 6AM Australian time/10pm to 2am VN time).

Regression UAT

• Maintain and execute regression UAT to support SIT team/BAs. BAs to complete progression UAT

Test Case Authoring

• Write detailed manual test cases for new features, edge cases, and negative paths i.e. updating regression scenarios based on progression changes
• Document environment dependencies and compliance considerations.

Automation Support

• Collaborate with automation engineers to convert manual cases into automated scripts for automated testing
• Provide selectors, data sets, and environment flags for automation.

Additional Responsibilities

Performance Testing Support

• Assist in preparing test data and scenarios for load and stress testing (prod and non-prod)
• Validate performance benchmarks (response times, throughput) against NAB standards.

Accessibility Testing

• Execute accessibility checks on customer-facing forms and flows. (prod)
• Validate compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards (keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, colour contrast).

Maintenance of Test Profiles

• Create and maintain test profiles for all deposit account types and scenarios.
• Ensure profiles cover edge cases (e.g., residency status, age, ID types, fraud flags).
• Regularly review and update profiles to align with compliance and product changes.

Compliance & Controls Testing for Test Profiles

• Validate that test profiles adhere to NAB’s data privacy and security standards.
• Ensure no production data is used; confirm masking and encryption policies.
• Perform periodic audits of test profiles for compliance with Australian banking regulations and internal risk frameworks.
• Close accounts and cards as required once testing completed

Confluence Maintenance & Records of Testing

• Maintain a centralized Confluence repository for all test artefacts:
• BVT runbooks, regression packs, DR schedules, defect logs.
• Standardized templates for test cases and execution reports.
• Ensure records of testing are complete, version-controlled, and auditable for compliance and risk reviews.

Standardization of Test Case Writing & Completion

• Define and enforce test case format standards
• Ensure consistency across manual and automated cases for readability and traceability.
• Conduct periodic reviews to maintain quality and alignment with NAB testing frameworks.
• Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time.

Must-have skills:

• Solid 5+ years of professional working in software testing or business analyst
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in validating business rules and UI/UX flows.
• Documentation & Reporting: Clear documentation of test results and sign-off reports. Ability to provide evidence for audit and compliance checks.
• Cross-Time-Zone Communication: Ability to work effectively with Melbourne-based teams and other offshore locations (India/VN).
• Strong written and verbal English skills for defect reporting and clarifications.
• Stakeholder Management: Comfortable interacting with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Tech teams. Ability to clarify requirements and raise blockers early.
