We are seeking highly skilled Platform Engineers (at both Mid and Senior levels) to architect, build, and maintain our next-generation Data Platforms. We operate with a strict engineering philosophy: no vendor lock-in. We are building a truly agnostic platform designed to run seamlessly across any public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premise bare-metal environments.

We are looking for builders who deeply understand how systems work under the hood. You will champion open-source technologies, relying on rock-solid engineering fundamentals to ensure our data infrastructure is scalable. Most importantly, you must possess an inherent Security and High Availability (HA) mindset-designing for failure and enforcing zero-trust principles at every layer.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect for Resilience (HA): Design, deploy, and manage multi-zone and multi-region infrastructure. You will treat failure as a given, ensuring self-healing mechanisms, redundancy at compute/storage/network layers, and robust Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
• Security by Design: Enforce strict security postures across the platform. Implement Zero Trust networking, robust identity and access management (IAM/RBAC), secrets management, and ensure data is heavily protected both at rest and in transit.
• Build Cloud-Agnostic Infrastructure: Provision compute, storage, and networking required to support massive-scale data processing without relying on proprietary, locked-in cloud features.
• Manage Enterprise Storage Solutions: Architect highly available file and object storage systems (e.g., MinIO, Ceph) that integrate seamlessly with our compute clusters.
• Master GitOps & Automation: Treat all infrastructure as code (IaC). Implement rigorous GitOps workflows for provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
• AI-Driven Productivity: Leverage modern AI LLMs and coding assistants (e.g., Claude, Gemini) to accelerate your workflow—from scripting automations and debugging complex system logs to writing IaC and documentation—while maintaining strict security and review standards over AI-generated outputs.

• We prioritize foundational engineering skills, a security-first approach, and the ability to design for scale over memorized knowledge of proprietary SaaS GUIs.
• Experience Levels
  • Mid-Level: 2+ years of hands-on experience in Platform, DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Senior-Level: 5+ years of experience, with a proven track record of architecting distributed systems, mentoring junior engineers, and driving platform-wide architectural decisions.
• Core Engineering Skills
• High Availability & Security Mindset:
• Deep understanding of distributed system failure modes and split-brain scenarios.
• Experience with strict security integrations, including network policies, and enterprise secrets management (e.g., Vault/ OpenBao).
• Advanced Kubernetes for Stateful Workloads: Expertise in managing stateful data systems on K8s (StatefulSets, CRDs, Operators). You must be comfortable bootstrapping clusters from scratch, understanding about CNI, CSI layers.
• Distributed Storage Systems:
  • Experience deploying S3-compatible open-source object storage (e.g., MinIO, Ceph RGW) for data lakes.
  • Deep understanding of distributed file systems and integrating them into Kubernetes for persistent, highly available volumes.
  • Operating Systems & Networking: Deep expertise in Linux/Unix internals, system tuning, and foundational networking (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, HTTP, CNI plugins like Cilium or Calico).
• IaC & GitOps: Advanced proficiency with Terraform/Tofu, Ansible, and GitOps controllers (ArgoCD or Flux).
• AI-Augmented Engineering: Proven ability to integrate AI tools into your daily engineering workflow to significantly boost productivity and automation.

Preferred Qualifications (The "Nice-to-Haves")

• Hands-on experience with deploying and tuning open-source distributed large scale data systems.
• Programming proficiency in Go, Python for writing K8S operators or system-level automation.
• Experience running stateful workloads on bare-metal servers or private cloud hypervisors (e.g., Proxmox, OpenStack).
