We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead our Hanoi-based organisation and software development teams. This role carries responsibility for the operational, people and development leadership of Lumera Vietnam.

As experienced professional with strong general management experience and a proven ability to manage and develop small software development teams of up to 50 people, you will be accountable for site operations, talent development and delivery excellence in alignment with Lumera’s strategy.

Responsibilities:

Operations & Site Leadership:

• Manage all Lumera Hanoi operations in alignment with Lumera’s global business plan and objectives.
• Collaborate closely with global Product Development, Finance, HR, IT and other functions within Lumera and Scandinavian Software Park.
• Establish and maintain local operational policies aligned with Lumera’s culture, values and compliance requirements.
• Develop and implement the local talent strategy, including hiring, development and retention.
• Inspire, motivate, and develop high performing teams.
• Communicate progress, risks, issues and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and senior management.
• Work closely with the Head of Engineering for Vietnam.
• Undertake other operational management duties as required by the business.
• Progress to the role of legal representative for Lumera in Vietnam over time.

Development Management

• Lead delivery of the product development roadmap in Hanoi.
• Oversee development activities in close collaboration with the Product Management function.
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders throughout the whole software development life cycle.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Business Studies or a related field.
• Delivery experience of software development.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience of Agile ways of working.
• At least 5 years’ proven experience in people management.
• High energy leader with strong people management capability and clear, effective communication skills.
• Strong leadership mindset – demonstrating influence, accountability, and empathy.
• Excellent problem solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience working with European companies or cultures is a plus.
