Your Tasks:
• Perform IBM iSeries administration, including system installs, PTF deployment, software installation, configuration, custom development and security.
• AS/400 server monitoring and attend to system alerts.
• Determine AS400 hardware & software errors and escalate to hardware teams.
• Working with BRMS to manage backups and perform restorations.
• Maintaining documents, procedures and technical guides.
• Report to the team leader about activities and projects.
Required skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Basic CL programming knowledge.
• Good communication (reading / writing) skills in English.
• Available for on-call scheduling and be able to drive incident resolution at any time.
• Customer oriented approach
• Curious and having analytical skills
• Self-organized and prioritize work according to team guidelines and urgencies.
Experience:
• At least 2 years of experience in Linux/Unix administration
• 3+ years of experience in the OS support of iSeries (AS400).
• 3+ years system support in a production environment.
• Experience with BRMS, TSM, AIX and VIOS is a definite plus
