Objectives of position:
The person in this position will have an important role in our organization, helping us implementing innovative automation solutions. The Infrastructure Automation Engineer should have a hands-on experience in scripting, building pipelines and general understanding of infrastructure environments in VMware and AWS.
Essential functions:
- Designing and building high performance pipelines applying infrastructure-and-pipeline-as-a-code practices.
- Release build and deploy, process automation and continuous integration for application development.
- Maintenance and enhancement of Continuous Integration systems.
- Create a relevant technical documentation around the developed solutions.
- Building enhancements and fixes where necessary.
- Ensuring the delivered solution meets not just technical, architecture and application principles, but also is compliant to our security and privacy needs
- Providing guidance and consultancy for infrastructure related projects
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends to make recommendations for improvement.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required to fill the job:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar CI/CD role
- Expert knowledge in area of building and optimizing CI/CD Pipelines (i.e. ADO, Jira, GitHub Actions)
- Strong experience with Terraform and Ansible, Docker is a plus
- Experience with git (i.e. GitHub)
- Strong scripting capabilities (at least one: PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bash)
- Practical knowledge of packaging and application deployment scenarios
- Nice to have software development background
- Strong understanding of infrastructure virtualization and cloud services (AWS, Azure, VMware)
- Understanding DevOps lifecycle processes and supporting tools
- Strong communication skills with multiple examples of being able to convey complex ideas in a manner that resulted in a definitive direction and result
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in writing technical documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience working in a global team
- Fluent in English.
