Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server databases.
- Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patches as needed.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the databases.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL Server instances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and enhance application performance.
- Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
Technical Attributes:
- Proficiency in SQL Server administration.
- Expertise in T-SQL scripting and stored procedure development.
- Experience with database monitoring and management tools.
- Understanding of best practices in database design and optimization.
- Ability to automate routine tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.).

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator in a senior role.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL Server architecture, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with SQL Server performance tuning and optimization.
- Strong understanding of database security principles.
- Familiarity with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for SQL Server.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) is a plus.
- Experience with other database systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) is an advantage.
