We are seeking a Software Product Manager for Fossil’s Connected Devices Group (CDG) located in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. This role will report in to the head of product management for CDG. CDG Product Management is a relatively small team and as such the candidate will be in a high-impact role with visibility and direct access to the Fossil Group executive leadership team. We’re looking for someone who loves product, especially wearables, can wear different hats when needed and is able to quickly jump between high-level executive discussions and low level detailed discussions with engineers.

MAIN OBJECTIVE

• Drive software for Fossil’s smartwatch apps. This includes Fossil smartwatches running Google’s WearOS as well as other lines of connected watches developed by Fossil.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, organize and drive the product roadmap for software that enables key features and differentiates our products in different regions across the globe. Work closely with our sales teams across regions and 3rd party software and service partners through the product life cycles to optimize user experience and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives.
• Collaborate on new product development and product strategy with Marketing, Engineering, Business Development, Legal, Analytics teams and other key stakeholders.
• Manage typical product management deliverables for software including product requirements (PRDs, wireframes, etc), business justifications including potential costs and ROI (Presentations), and partnership agreements as well as driving legal reviews, collaborating with engineering, partners, marketing and design, providing testing feedback, prioritizing bugs and features, helping develop marketing collateral, and roadmapping.
• Collaborate closely with the rest of the Product Management team including key HW and SW Product Managers overseeing other aspects of the overall products.
• Drive collaboration with platform software/OS teams (both internal and external) especially as regards to future feature requests required to support new SW initiatives.
• Define analytics requirements for SW and leverage analytics for the purpose of understanding aspects like adoption, performance, retention, feature usage and more.
• Collaborate with Program Managers and Engineering during projects to help direct the activities of the team to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.
• Perform market analysis, product strategy, and product research and development. Produce competitive analysis materials comparing SW products with key competitors.
• Identify market potential, help influence pricing and market strategies, estimate potential sales, identify distribution/channel issues, and manage SW through phase-out.
• Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, legal, analytics teams, marketing, manufacturing, operations and external partners to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
• Ensure that all customer requirements are met including the monitoring of real-time product analytics, test reports, documentation of instructions, etc.
• Provide technical expertise and training as required in support of product marketing.
• Help define promotional opportunities, publicize the product through the press, sales, and alternate distribution channels. Help present at industry events.
