About Monterro 

Monterro is a Stockholm-based private equity firm specializing exclusively in Nordic B2B software companies. We manage EUR 1.1bn across four funds and are building a dedicated AI team to accelerate AI adoption and value creation across our 23+ portfolio companies. 

Role Overview 

We’re seeking an AI Tooling and Development Expert to join our Vietnam-based AI engineering team. You’ll be at the forefront of AI-driven development, working directly with Nordic B2B software companies to implement cutting-edge AI tools and frameworks that make their development teams more efficient and productive. 

This role combines hands-on technical expertise with rapid evaluation and implementation of AI development tools. You’ll work in short, high-impact engagements (typically measured in days rather than weeks) while continuously evaluating new tools and frameworks to keep our portfolio companies ahead of the curve. 

Key Responsibilities 

AI Development Tooling 

• Hands-on evaluation and implementation of AI-powered development tools across our portfolio companies 
• Help portfolio company development teams integrate AI tools into their existing workflows 
• Create practical implementations that demonstrate immediate productivity gains 

Portfolio Company Engagement 

• Work directly with 2-3 portfolio companies simultaneously on short-term AI tooling implementations 
• Quickly understand diverse technical stacks and business contexts across different B2B software companies 
• Provide hands-on support to get development teams started with AI-driven development practices 
• Document and share learnings across the portfolio for maximum impact 

Tool Evaluation and Best Practices 

• Continuously evaluate emerging AI development tools, frameworks, and platforms. Also stay on top of the best way to work with them. 
• Maintain expertise across all major AI development platforms (OpenAI API, Anthropic, local LLMs, etc.) 
• Create proof-of-concepts and demos that showcase new capabilities and ways of working with them. 
• Stay ahead of industry trends so portfolio companies don’t have to invest time in evaluation 

Knowledge Sharing 

• Create practical guides and playbooks for AI tool adoption 
• Contribute to Monterro’s AI knowledge base and best practices 
• Share insights across portfolio companies to accelerate collective learning
