Technical Experiences

Must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in backend development using Ruby on Rails, or willingness to transition from another backend language (PHP / Node.js).
• Good understanding of MySQL database design and query optimization.
• Familiar with background jobs (Sidekiq), caching (Redis), and deployment (Capistrano, AWS).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, and JSON structures.
• Basic knowledge of Linux development environments and version control (Git).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving mindset.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with gems such as Devise, Pundit, Rpush, CarrierWave +Fog-AWS, or Stripe.
• Experience with RSpec or other testing frameworks.
• Exposure to CI/CD automation tools (Capistrano, GitHub Actions).
• Understanding of Geo-location or mapping services (Geocoder, RGeo, Fast-Polylines).
• Understanding of Microservices and event-driven systems (using Kafka / Karafka / Waterdrop).
• Appreciation for clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
• Collaborative mindset and a reliable team player who takes ownership of their work.

Language Skills

• Able to communicate and collaborate in English (written and spoken).
• Willing to learn and improve communication when working with
• Singapore HQ and other markets.
