Overview of job

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust APIs, services, and backend systems using PHP and related technologies.
Guide and support your development team, ensuring efficient workflows, code quality, and timely delivery.
Collaborate effectively across teams, including frontend, QA, and DevOps, to deliver seamless features and solutions.
Communicate clearly with clients to manage expectations, provide technical insights, and maintain long-term partnerships.
Troubleshoot complex programming issues and provide technical direction for scalable, maintainable architecture.
Drive feature development that integrates with various system components and enhances user experience.

Job Requirement

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

6+ years of hands-on experience in software development with a strong focus on backend systems.
Proven expertise in PHP 7/8, with solid experience in modern frameworks such as Zend and Laravel (our current stack uses Zend).
Good understanding of SOLID principles, software design patterns, and clean coding practices.
Excellent understanding of relational databases, including database design and optimization.
Solid experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing unit/integration tests using tools like PHPUnit or Pest.
Background in architecture and system design for scalable, maintainable applications.
Skilled in refactoring legacy codebases to improve maintainability, performance, and readability.
Fluent in English – strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

NICE TO HAVE

Experience with front-end frameworks such as ReactJS, Angular, or Vue.js, along with proficiency in HTML/CSS.
Experience working with distributed systems, and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute to system migration projects, particularly in migrating legacy Zend Framework applications to Laravel.
