Overview of job

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Design and engineer robust cloud infrastructures for internal and client-facing projects base on FWD group cloud platform strategy.
Translate proposed architecture views into engineered solutions that meet security and data protection requirements.
Join in the implement native, hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure designs.
Provide support and collaborate with delivery teams to implement data applications on FWD group cloud platforms.
Support the product/project delivery cycle, install/release and configure application system & open source software, provide evidence of security controls as needed.
Provide the support for cloud resources monitoring and optimization solution to reduce the cloud cost
Hands on the ETL scripts/program development with the engineer team to ensure the quality & result of delivery.

Job Requirement

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or above, major in computer or IT.
3+ years of overall experience in ETL development with the program language like Python/Scala/Spark/Flink, leverage Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks to construct the data pipeline. Good understanding for multiple Database, Ex. NoSQL DB, Azure SQL, MPP DB.
3+ years of experience in deploying and life cycle management of platform services on public cloud infrastructure like Azure Cloud
Has the experience and skills on task management, usage of Agile toolkit, Ex. JIRA and Confluence.

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

Scripting background with PowerShell or Azure CLI, Configuration management experience on Windows and Linux
Experience with Azure main components, Ex. AKS, ADF, Databricks, ARM etc.
Experience for the development of real-time data streaming process, Ex. Kafka, Spark streaming, Flink etc.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in delivery driven team environment, handle multiple tasks and react quickly to problems and issues
Knowledge of security best practices is preferred
Good command of English communication, proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.
