Job description

Overview of job

As a Cloud DBA you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Managing and supporting of FWD IT Database system, services availability.
Carrying out database system maintenance including troubleshooting, performance monitoring and tuning.
Reviewing and advising on current DB dataflow and DR architecture.
Designing and implementing databases system to support business applications
Ensuring the Database System infrastructure are fulfilling compliance/ security requirement.
Evaluating new products and suggesting changes to existing products or services to enhance the operation of services.
Establishing DB configuration standard .
Mentoring and providing training to junior teammates.
Assisting Malaysia and Philippine market.
Communicating and discussing directly with cross-countries technical team and Manager in English

13th month salary

Job Requirement

English Communication: Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for daily meetings and direct interactions with cross-country Managers.
At least 5 years hands-on experience in database administration
Experience with MS SQL 2014/2016/2019.
Knowledge on MongoDB, MySQL, DB2 and Postgres DB knowledge are added on.
Experience with public clouds such as: AWS/Azure (prefer)
Hands-on experience in database installation, backup & recovery, performance monitoring and tuning, database monitoring, data replication and database encryption.
Proficient in database design and problem solving of database problem and incident management
Able to work independent, self motivated and willing to take challenges
